Who runs this site

caloriesburned.app is run by Takreparation Skane AB (company registration no. 556988-5931), a Swedish company, which is responsible for the personal data described here. Questions or requests about privacy: info@caloriesburned.app.

The calculators save nothing on our side

You don’t need an account and there is no sign-up. The numbers you enter, such as weight, time, activity, height or calories, are processed in your browser to show the estimate. They are not sent to us and are not stored in an account.

Three features remember things on your own device using your browser’s local storage: the main calculator keeps your last result (calories, activity and minutes), the daily calorie needs calculator keeps the details you entered (sex, age, height, weight, activity and goal), and the net calorie balance calculator keeps the values you entered so they are still there next time. This is stored only on your device. We can’t see it, and you can clear it at any time by deleting this site’s data in your browser settings. The site also uses session storage for short-lived technical navigation data, which your browser removes when you close the tab.

What is collected anyway

The site is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare. As with any website, serving a page means processing technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. Cloudflare uses this to deliver the site and protect it against attacks and abusive bots, and may set a strictly necessary security cookie (for example cf_clearance or __cf_bm) for that purpose. Logs are kept by Cloudflare under Cloudflare’s privacy policy; we don’t keep separate server logs.

Visitor statistics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used. It works without cookies, does not store personal data and does not build profiles of visitors.

Advertising and Google AdSense

We plan to show ads served by Google AdSense to keep the calculators free. When ads are shown:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings (now part of My Ad Center).
• You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info (US) or www.youronlinechoices.eu (Europe).
• If ad networks or vendors other than Google serve ads here, they may also use cookies. The consent message described below lists those vendors with links to their privacy policies, and lets you accept or refuse them.

Ads are never placed over the calculator inputs or results.

Cookies and your consent

The site itself does not set cookies; apart from Cloudflare’s security cookie, any cookies would come from advertising once ads are live. If you visit from the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, you will then see a consent message from Google’s own consent tool (a Google-certified consent platform that uses the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework) before advertising cookies are used. You can accept, refuse or choose by purpose and vendor, and change your choice later through the privacy settings link the message adds to the page. If you don’t consent, Google may show non-personalized or limited ads instead.

Wherever you are, you can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings and use the opt-out links above.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask for access to, correction of or deletion of personal data about you, object to or restrict its use, and withdraw consent at any time. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running, securing and measuring the site, and your consent for personalized advertising where the law requires it. Contact info@caloriesburned.app. You can also complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) at imy.se or to the data protection authority where you live.

Children

caloriesburned.app is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the site handles data, for example when ads go live or a new tool is added, we will update this page and the date below. Last updated October 8, 2026.
